Chinese Funded Welfare Bribe pt. 2

So. While my Chinese-Funded-Welfare-Bribe, CFWB for short, was already deposited in my bank account, I just received a letter about it in the mail explaining what it is, how it should already be there, etc. Good to know the government is spending even more of my money on all these letters. I noticed, though, on the envelope, it says that it (meaning the envelope and the letter) was printed on recycled paper. You know, the type of paper that is more expensive (in dollars and pollution) to produce- more of my money down the toilet- and just so happens to have almost a null effect on trees, which grow back (we farm them!), since 95% of recycled paper is made of- you guessed it- brand new tree pulp. The CFWB wasn't insulting enough, I guess, so the information all about my CFWB is printed on environmentally-unfriendly paper.

Gee, isn't that nice?

So why are we fed all these grand ideas about how recycling will save the world? Turning old paper into new paper makes more pollution than killing trees? Trees take a while to grow back. And where are they farmed? And why does farming trees make it all better?
