Barry Hussein's VP

I will tell you right off the bat, I am impressed. Not with Barry Hussein, no, but with what I recently learned about his recently chosen VP running mate. Joseph Biden is a long time Democrat senate-whore, blah blah blah... but get this. He voted for the Iraq war, as did everyone (and as Barry would have at the time, after licking his finger and putting it to the wind), but soon became a critic of it. Oh, well, criticize the war eh? What a liberal Democrat moron, we hate him right? Not so fast, people, we should all criticize the war- specifically the people running it. Because they screwed it up. More than once. I know I do. That doesn't mean I want to lose.

But, it gets better. Now, I don't like most of what Joe here stands for, votes for, or wants, but he's rather moderate compared to Barry. Which is why he was chosen, of course. More on that some other time. However, Biden had a very, very smart idea for Iraq. Yes, that's right you Republicans who think you're conservatives; I, the independent thinker, have seen a bit of wisdom come from the greater of two evils. You see, apparently, Biden proposed early on that to obtain quick and lasting peace in Iraq, we should have divided it among ethnic lines.

Why, that's racist! You're promoting racism and hatred! How dare you? Shut up, you knee-jerk liberal morons, and listen. Iraq, well, the whole Middle East and nearby area (Islamic, anyway), has been split between two interpretations of Islam: the Shiia and the Sunni. Hopefully you have heard of it by now, seven years after 9-11. It is also a very racially separated place, from Turkey to Iran, and yes, Iraq, people draw lines between one another based on race. Did you know that Iran was once called Persia? That's right, Iranians are not Arabic, they are Persian. There are Turks in Turkey as well as others... And there exists another big group- the Kurds, in Northern Iraq, as well as the Sunni and Shiia... I hope you get the idea by now. Their hatred of one another dates thousands of years, you have clans or tribes that have feuded for just as long... I could go on. After WWII Churchill drew the lines in the sand as he did to keep these opposing forces fighting among themselves so that the British could dominate, and it worked back then. Now, for stability's sake (Al Qaeda thrives where situations are unstable, mind you), these different religious and ethnic groups need to get along. In this case, much like misbehaving, fighting children, they need to be separated. Both of you, go to your rooms! is the idea.

I have to point out: splitting up the country, which was artificially created, geographically, by a great leader of an age now passed, along more sensible lines; that is an idea that has only come from Joseph Biden the Senate-whore and Michael Savage talk show host, so far as I know. And it is at least, at least worth debating in an open and honest forum. In my opinion, it is likely the smartest thing we never did.

So there you have it. It turns out that even a half-backward Democrat liberal can have a good idea every now and then. If we didn't have this two-party system, who knows, maybe the idea would have received attention enough to have been executed, and we would be out of Iraq by now. And maybe, just maybe, a few less US soldiers would have paid the ultimate price for it. The lesson I teach in this post will surely be lost.

Now perhaps you ask, does this mean I am considering voting Obama this November?

Hell no.
